Short answer: What to expect for timelines when renting a condo in Jomtien through East Coast Real Estate.
For a straightforward long-term rental, the process from first viewing to moving in usually takes anywhere from a few days to two or three weeks, depending on how quickly you can decide and how much notice the current occupant needs to vacate.
A typical timeline looks like this:
- Shortlist and viewings. We'll usually arrange to show a handful of suitable units within a day or two of your enquiry.
- Decision and deposit. Once you've chosen a unit, a holding deposit secures it while the lease is prepared.
- Lease signing. Most leases are for 6 or 12 months, paid in advance with a security deposit (commonly equivalent to one or two months' rent).
- Move in. Keys are handed over once the lease is signed and payment cleared, which can often happen within a few days of signing.
If you're renting from abroad, we can arrange video viewings and handle the paperwork remotely so you can move in shortly after you arrive in Thailand.
