Jomtien is one of the most popular areas in the Pattaya region for long-term expat residents, and has been for decades. It sits a short drive from central Pattaya, so you get easy access to nightlife, shopping and restaurants without living in the middle of it.
Day to day, Jomtien has its own established expat community, a long stretch of beach, plenty of restaurants covering most cuisines, and a good spread of housing options from budget studios to beachfront condos and villas further south toward Na Jomtien.
It's particularly popular with retirees and families, partly because it's quieter and more residential than Central Pattaya, and partly because there's a strong, long-standing rental and property management infrastructure here -- ourselves included, since 1995.
